Comfy bach accommodation available in the heart of beautiful Mahia Beach, New Zealand.
One minute's walk from the main beach reserve, Beach Haven features spacious open-plan living with a lovely warm wood fire for the summer and good airflow in the summer. Fully furnished in a retro beachy style.
If you're after the Hilton and shopping on the town, this isn't for you, but if you are after a quiet and relaxing break in a cosy home near the beach, it could well be perfect!
What does a stay at Beach Haven look like?
Here’s What We Provide:
pillows, under blankets, duvets, and spare blankets
all cutlery and crockery
- dishwashing liquid, soap, laundry liquid
- kitchen necessities e.g. glad wrap, foil, rubbish bin liners
- food 'basics' i.e. tea, coffee, milo, sugar, salt & pepper, seasonings. (You will need to bring your own additional food.)

Linen hire is available on request @ $10 per person. This includes all sheets, bath towels, dishcloths, and tea towels.
Beach Haven has an accessibility ramp and an accessible shower in the outside laundry.
Room Layout
Room 1 (pictured):
1x Queen bed, tallboy, mirror, 2x bedside tables, double wardrobe
Room 2:
2x single bunkbeds, 2x bedside tables, double wardrobe
Room 3:
1 x Double bed, man robe with drawers, mirror, 2x bedside tables
This room is clean and tidy but still in more 'original' condition than the other, updated rooms.
Room 4 (not available):
Currently used as an office and storage room
Available on request:
Trundler (small adults or children only). Some bedding is available but it may be advisable to bring your own.
The kitchen contains a pantry and fridge/freezer. External laundry (in very 'original' condition) contains a washing machine, plus an additional toilet and shower.
Is Beach Haven Suitable for Us?
Beach Haven is not 'flash' but we do pride ourselves on it being comfortable, clean, and tidy. The styling and some features of the home are best described as retro - think of it as staying with "nana". 🙂
We want ALL our guests (current and future) to enjoy their time staying at Beach Haven. Typically, our guests come to unwind, spend time together, and chill out, so if you are after 'party central', this is not the holiday home for you. We ask that all guests treat our home with respect. Beach Haven has a no parties, no smoking policy.
Cleanliness is extremely important to us, so a cleaning fee applies in all cases. The amount charged depends on the number of guests and how much cleaning is done by your group prior to departure but this varies from $30-150+. A standard cleaning list applies.

Accommodation Options
What is available?
A variety of accommodation options are available, from two nights to three months. Prices depend on the number of occupants and the length of stay. As we prefer a more personal touch, we do not use Air BnB or the like. This also helps keep our costs reasonable.
